Grape variety: 50% Haghtanak, grown in Ararat valley, 50% Areni Noir, an indigenous variety mainly growing in the foothills and mountainous areas of Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. Soil conditions: Ararat valley: chestnut soil with clayey and loamy structure․ Vayots Dzor region: loamy, carbonate soil with lime in some areas. Fermentation: Both grape varieties were fermented separately in 2 different yeast cultures using the classic red wine method. Aging: Aſter fermentation both wines were aged in new oak barrels from Artsakh for 6 months and then in old barrels for 16 months. After assemblage in proportions of 50%+50% the wine was aged in stainless steel container for 12 months and then bottled. Color: Deep ruby․ Aroma: Combination of prunes, ripe cherries, black berries, dry fruits and spices. Taste: Wine with full body and ripe cherries, special for Areni Noir and prunes and spices with moderate tanins, special for Haghtanak.
